Cross laminated Guadua-bamboo panels testing.

Mechanical tests undertaken by Dr Hector Archila on large cross laminated Guadua-bamboo panels at the University of Bath using the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique to track 3D deformation on the surface of the panels.

This research has been sponsored by Amphibia, Colciencias and Ned Jaquith Foundation and is providing new insights into the development and standardisation of engineered bamboo products for structural applications.
